Charlie L Welch

Charlie L. Welch, age 95 of Hardy, AR, went home to be with the Lord Monday. He was born Oct 13, 1914 in Fisher, AR. He was a Christian who attended regularly at the Ward Street Church until the last months of his life.

 Charlie Served his country in WWII from 1942-1945 he fought ground combat in Okinawa for the U.S. Army.

 Charlie shared a wonderful 65 years with his beloved wife Juanita. He loved to garden and spend time with family and friends.

 He is survived by wife Juanita (Mullins) Welch 5 Children, George and Linda Welch of Hardy, Diane and Jim McNair of Eureka, IL, Gerald and Diane Welch of Hardy, Brenda and Dan Dupree of Williford, and Mary and Danny Holman of Greenville, MS, 17 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren, one sister Violet Gatlin of Jonesboro, one brother Howard and Frances Welch of Evening Shade, and a host of nieces and nephews he loved dearly.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm in the Ward Street Church of Christ in Hardy. The visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time. Brothers Gerald Bolin and Tom O’Neal Officiating and grandsons Josh Hussung and Kyle Welch will have a special reading. Interment will be in the Baker Cemetery. Pallbearers are Archie Williams, Bruce Lowe, Paul Garner, Kevin Lynxwiler, Wayne West and Danny Slayton.
