I love you Uncle Bob and will miss you very much. My pray's go out to the family. I remember alot of good times. I appreciate uncle bob and aunt jean allowing me to live with them for awhile, when I was young. I remember the times when Pat would come home on the weekends from college and how I was so glad to see her. I also remember the time when I was sick and uncle bob and aunt jean told me that this would make me feel lots better, it was some tasty stuff I think that it was vicks not sure what ever it was it did not taste good and I thought how was that going to make me feel better. I remember the day that my dad called and said that he was coming after me I was at Leala's house, I was glad but sad, I loved uncle bob and aunt jean, that same day I was swinging on the thing that held my clothes up and broke it, uncle bob had told me not to swing on that, I knew that I was in trouble, so when I found out that my dad was coming to get me, I thought alright, I wont get a whoopin.I know that he is having a wonderful time in Heaven right now and have seen grandma and grandpa and they are probably fishing!

Pat, my friend,I send you and your family heartfelt and deep sympathy for the loss of your dad, husband, granddad, greatgranddad. While I did not get to meet him personally, I felt like I knew him because you, Pat, were so caring. During our friendship it has been evident how close your family is to one another, and how much he was loved....he surely must have been a truly great fella to have raised such a great family. I believe there is a heaven and that he is now free from all his body ailments and waiting on the rest of you. I hope that brings you comfort as you all adjust to the hole in your lives that his parting has left. I also believe it is OK to talk to him still, in the stillness and quietness of the morning or night you'll be able to feel his presence because he was God's child. Your friend....Nancy

I will always remember the kind, understanding man that my "Uncle Bob" was to not only me, but everyone around him...the world needs many more 'good-men' like him.
However, it is difficult to remember Uncle Bob without also thinking of Aunt Jean, Leala, Pat and all of Uncle Bob's extended family...all of you helped make Uncle Bob a most remearkable person and a pleasure to know....and he was an influence upon your lives as well. So take heart in the fact that he is still with each of you; he loves you still, just as you (and I) love him still.
..........The consciousness of loving and being loved brings a warmth and richness to life that nothing else can bring...........
My three youngest children (who truely cherished spending time with their great-uncle) perhaps said it best:
"But Daddy, WE still Love Uncle Bob...at least WE got to know him...think of all the people that never had the chance to know him!"
That's an astounding testament to the character and personality of the man they (still) know and (still) love; as well as reminding the rest of us just how privileged we are to have spent time with Uncle Bob (and all of you as well). I hold all of you close in my heart and my prayers, may God Bless and hold you even closer.
Sincerest Love to All, George Mark

Pat and family:
I know this is a tuff time for each of you. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Your Dad played an important part in my young life and was responsible for teaching me a life-long lesson in trust, when he took a chance on a young'un, and hired me to be a summer parking-lot "cop" for the village. I have never forgotten that and have always held him in my heart, thoughts, and prayers. He was a good man!!! And, always good to me. I only wish I could be there today to show my repects, but only realized your loss, this morning. Please, if I can ever help with anything just give me a good ole fashioned hollar!!!! Even though your Dad ( Mr. Bob as I called him) lived to a ripe old age, he will be missed by a number of family and friends. I can only hope that someday, all of us will have the chance to be remembered in such a way and with such respect as he has. I know I was privileged to have known such man with such high esteem and family values, as your Dad. His character and trust were second to none!!!! I know he made a impact on me and I feel sure others were also touched by his caring ways. Mr. Bob was truly a respected champion in my life and I only wish I had taken the time to tell him more than that one time way back in 1977. (which was one of the last times I saw him)
May God bless and comfort each of you.
Yours in sympathy,
Danny Sample, and family

Pat, I am so very sorry to hear about your Dad's death. And, am doubly sorry that I did not know about it at the time. Please forgive me for not being there.
Your memories will sustain you and you will find that they will become even more precious as time passes. You will still miss him, of course, but the fact that he is well now can be a major comfort.
You said he would not have wanted to be where he was.....I believe he is now where he does want to be.
Vicki
